Che lavoro fa?

Ciao

Today we are going to talk about the professions in Italian.  

If you want to ask for someone's profession in Italian you simply say:

CHE LAVORO FA?   

CHE LAVORO FAI?

(WHAT DO YOU DO?)

OR

CHE COSA FA DI BELLO?

(WHAT ARE YOU DOING)

You can answer this question using the verb "Essere":

IO SONO+ PROFESSION

IO SONO UN DOTTORE

(I AM A DOCTOR)

IO SONO UNA DOTTORESSA

(I AM A FEMALE DOCTOR)

IO SONO IMPIEGATA

(I AM AN EMPLOYEE)

IO SONO ESTETISTA

(I AM A BEAUTICIAN)

IO SONO STUDENTE 

(I AM A STUDENT)
